Eight gigs coming in the month of March
Last night, Saturday, Feb. 25, was RSVP’s first time playing at Daly’s Pub on Comly Street in Northeast Philly. It’s in a great location not very far out of the way. I knew some people who came up from Bridgeport, and they said it was well worth the trip to see us at this place. The pub was packed and RSVP was rocking out the kind of hits from the ’80s a lot of bands neglect. I can’t say enough complimentary things about singer Jimmy Rosciolo and guitarist Paul Olley. I can only imagine what the crowd at Daly’s will be like when we return twice this late spring and summer! The place booked us, on the spot, for gigs on two Saturdays coming up: June 9 and August 18, so mark your calendars now because we’d love to have everybody out those nights and fill it with dancing and good times.
Right now, my next gig is also with RSVP, and it’s another place we’ll be playing for the first time. This place is called Hunt’s Annex Lounge, and it’s in Delaware County, PA, on MacDade Blvd in Woodlyn. We’ll be there on the first Friday in March, and we hope to bring a lot of people out to drink and dance and have a good time at this apparently tremendous place. The date is Friday, March 2. Everything I’ve read about Hunt’s Annex Lounge is highly complimentary of its ambiance. A user review on CitySearch calls it an “enchanting gem of an establishment" with a “triumphantly glor-i-ous atmosphere.” The reviewer continues: “Everything about this place screams awesome. … If I did not own a house I would live at this bar.” Two other CitySearch reviewers fill in the details:
Also part of an action-packed month of March, I’ll be playing at the Bridgeport Ribhouse on no less than three out of four weekends, with three different musical acts! As always, I’ll be at the Ribby on the first Sunday of the month with Paul Sinclair and Paul Hammond, the boys from Get the Led Out, as well as John McNutt from Mile High Club; the date is Sunday, March 4. Sinclair sings the Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith spectacular! The Ribby is located on Ford St in Bridgeport, Montgomery County, PA, just off of 202.
I’ll be back at the Ribby again on Friday, March 9, this time with Lords of Nothing. Join the legendary Chris Gordon on guitar, Paul Piccari and Adam Ferraioli on bass and drums, and Jimmy Rosciolo on lead vocals, for your favorite jukebox cuts from the ’70s, including hits by Foreigner, Journey, Free, Kansas, Styx, Peter Frampton, Marshall Tucker Band, Rod Stewart, and many more. My next three concert dates at that time will also be with Lords of Nothing:
My third and final time at the Bridgeport Ribhouse during the month of March will be with Work Release on Saturday, March 24. This will be my third time sitting in with this band. Saxophonist Tom Najarian works his way up and down both guitar and saxophone all night long and does some amazing things. Suzanne Moore sings and struts like KT Tunstall while guitarists Brandon Weinstock and Jeff Larson lay down the right vibe. Check it out as we bust out great tunes by Chicago, Santana, Neil Young, Gin Blossoms, Golden Earring, Eddie Money, Eric Clapton and the Decemberists. Three sets beginning at 9:30 p.m. No cover!

“A great place to kick back after work great dranks, food, inverment, musicand don't forget about some of the greats looking bar maids in the county and one of the best priced place to do all the above and you can even take a date there and really enjoy your self on the nights the bands or on stage.”
“BEST LIVE MUSIC AND HOT WINGS IN DELCO!!! Park in the rear and come up the back steps, or park across the street in the giant Bally's parking lot and cross MacDade blvd and come in the front. Club has beautiful stage - backdrop, lighting, ect. Amazing sound system - club hosts live music 4 nights a week each featuring a different style of music ... The food is fantastic and the prices are great - large grilled chicken ceaser costs about $7, but Hunt's is known for their famous Hot Wings! Upper level candel lite booth area creates the perfect vibe for local musicians to hang out. ... Friday and Saturday nights usually featuring top classic rock cover bands, and often alternating with Karaoke. Call Hunt's friendly bartenders for details. Also, Hunt's is so easy to get to from the city, just take I-95 South to 476 (Blue route) take exit #1 MacDade Blvd. east and Hunt's is on the left about 1/4 mile down the road. It takes me about 10 mintues to get there from the airport, very easy! Check them out. Best of all there is Never a Cover at Hunt's!”
